:alien: big decision to go black and green and also longer on size/reach than I`m used to .
This days test bike is overcrowded so I´ve made only a short ride on it.
So I´m a litle apreensive about it but excited to jump to the trails next wekend .
Already thinking on to do some experiences with mixed whell size .:alien::unsure:

I have the 2018 Cube Hybrid Race 160 with 27.5 Wheels.
I am looking at upgrading to the new 2020 bike. I like the new Bosch motor and the 625 WH battery is a big selling argument.
I am having problems deciding between the 160 with 27.5 wheels or if I should go for the 140mm version with the 29er wheels.

Had the same dilema. After past year riding the 160 and also some riding with a 120 29er I decided to give a go with the 140 29. Supose makes more sense for the type off riding I´m doing. Not very agressive gravity stuff. Lot´s of uphill and longer hours on the trails. Maybe the swetspot .

So after changing from the 160 to the 140 how are you finding it. I'm looking at getting my first e bike and have decided on the Cube Stereo but cant decide which is going to be best. I do mainly trail centre rides and some cross country which would suggest the 140 but I'm on the large side around 110kg and 6ft 1in so was thinking that the more travel might be the better option. Also how did you find it going up a size as looking at the Cube size guide I should be on the 20" bike but the size and reach is small compared to my Kona full sus and I was thinking the 22" would be the better option.

I´m very happy with the change, but I didn´t ride the 160 2020 so I´m comparing with the 160 2019. Regarding sizes I´ve ride 160 S , 140 2019 M and 2020 M . I can say that in this cases the M size is a more balanced/do it all bike. Comparing 20 and 22 sizes could bee diferente so my sugestion is to ride one or bouth if possible. Supose suspension can be tunned to rider weight /preferences in bouth sizes and if you feel the specs on your actual bike are ok I you shoud go for something similar. Cube sizes are for the small side .

So would you say that the 140 is a better trail bike for you than the 160 was. If you had the choice now of a new 140 or 160 would you get the 140 again? Cheers

I would argue that Cube fit just right. I am 178cm with well proportioned limbs and the Medium fits me like a glove... in fact any bigger and it would be too big for me (I wouldn't be able to stand without it hitting my crotch).

I never rode the 160mm but so far the 140mm Action Team 2020 has been a blast and I haven't got close to bottoming out the suspension. I don't do any crazy downhill/gravity stuff but I will continue to makes notes during Spring and Summer when I really test it. 29er wheels are awesome though, they roll so well. :)
