Byclex jump ramp

I decided to buy a ramp to help develop my jumping skills. The ramps we encounter in the forests are pretty unpredictable because they change each time we ride them due to wear or weather so it becomes difficult to develop consistency. I decided to buy the Byclex Kicker which is roughly the same dimensions as the MTB Hopper Lite but quite a bit cheaper. I found out that the price quoted on the website includes VAT and there is no import duty to the UK (or EU member states) . Price was £180 including delivery which was well tracked and took 5 days.
So far I have only assembled it which was easy and took just a few minutes. The pieces were not easy to pull apart but a little grease on the parts that slide together fixed that. It has carrying handles and weighs about 8kg so easy enough to carry to a good set up spot. A bacpac type set of straps is available separately but I will just put a shoulder strap on it.

I would take it to a park and ask a few kids on dj bikes to hit that thing before me.
Do you feel like this ramp can take an adult on a 23 kg bike at 40km/h plus???

I have one and weigh in at a hefty 110kg + 26kg bike and it hasn’t broken yet, so yes it’ll hold

They’re great fun. You can turn any slope or bank into a jump line. We take ours to local industrial estates and business parks as there’s plenty of grass banks to set the ramp up on and no kids around to start bothering you for a go !

I tried it out today..........no video..I was travelling light!!
I just popped over to the my local rec. It is on a gentle slope so not ideal but at least it gave plenty of room for run up.........and there was no one else about!!
I started off with the ramp on its lowest setting which is without the feet. The ramp is pretty linear on that setting so needs more input to get height. With the ramp at its highest setting it is a mild kicker which then give a lot more pop. I kept the approach speed at just about motor cut off speed so bad technique was better exposed!!
I can already see what I need to work on.
So, yes it is totally stable, and strong, easy to assemble and ( with some grease) take apart. I would not fancy carrying it with me on the bike very far however even with the optional straps.......its a bit of a lump!
I look forward now to setting it up in more suitable locations and also setting up my Gopro on a tripod so I can better analyse my jumps.

It’s actually ok to ride whilst wearing it as a ‘backpack’ with the straps. The hardest part is putting it on. I rest mine on my wheelie bin and get my arms through the straps whist it’s at chest height, much easier
