hi all, theres quite a really good spec one of these bikes close to me on ebay, but am i right in thinking no bike shop would touch bafang motors, batterys, controllers etc....and it would be purely DIY fixing/replacing things regarding the electrics.

thanks all.

m600 is a decent engine but its kindof old now

bafang is easy to work on yourself
if the price is right you could always upgrade the motor

good thing is that they use the same motormount and electronics as the newer motors and all the parts are on aliexpress when needed

biggest negative of the m600 is that you cannot adjust the power levels
mine did 350watts in the lowest 'eco' mode 😅 which is crazy programming

There are Bafang service agents in New Zealand surely the UK would be the same, there are plenty of bike manufacturers that use Bafang motors.
Parts are easy to get too.
