Maybe I am slow on the uptake and some of you already use braces but for me they are a revelation!
I wear compression shorts plus Leatt armoured shorts....then trail pants or shorts...so a lot of waistbands in the same place!! My waist is perhaps not as well defined as it was and my armoured shorts tend to slip down dragging shorts/trousers with them !! Tightening the waistband has not worked so just bought some motorcycle HD braces. Problem solved...no more saggy nappy syndrome!!

Been using a seat harness since 1999. Want to go a waist harness for foiling and light wind.

I am 6 ft 5 and weigh 240 Pies.

I use braces too when riding. With padded liners and /or armour I found the trousers susceptible to slipping down. The braces keep everything in place, no risk of builder’s bum 👍🏽

I have several long trousers, if I tighten them to stay up I get a belly ache but they soon come loose anyway and I catch the crutch on the saddle when moving about. I find off the shelf braces have metal buckles which are uncomfortable to the skin so I bought a length of elastic from Amazon, sowed buttons on the trousers and sowed button holes in the elastic with a sewing machine (not very elegant but it works) having cut elastic after fitting. This allows me to wear the trousers with a loose band so its Perfect!

Wrong forum!! ...but since you ask a waist harness will always ride up if you do not have the narrow hips/flat belly/wide shoulders body type. The answer is to get a seat harness with a relatively high hook..................usually described as a freeride design rather than slalom.

Switched from a seat harness to a Mystic Stealth waist harness with Mystic Surf spreader bar few years ago. Absolute revelation. Am 76kg/168lb, 5'10".
