Sorry people, done numerous searches and can't find the answer, so will try to make a long story short.
I have a 2023 Trek Rail 9.7 which came with the bar mounted LED remote as the only control on the bike. As it's the carbon version it also came with a precut hole in the top tube with blank plate for the install of the smart system controller (if that took your fancy) well it did as I wanted a cleaner cockpit and might aswell make use of that cutout.
So last week I took it to my local shop who had sourced me the smart controller and bluetooth mini remote to install after being let down by another well known bike shop that i had ordered from online. I thought it was simple procedure as i watched a video to do it myself but once finished it said it needs plugging in by the Bosch dealer to sync up (or something like that).
So picked my bike up after leaving it for an hour all was well and the controls were working and he said it had also two updates while plugged in. When i got home i had a quick check of the flow app which is where the issue starts.
It says my bike is disconnected and wont link up anymore. After a bit of reading i tried the trouble shooting options (turn of/on bluetooth/phone etc) and i was going to remove my bike and reinstall the app. After speaking to the guy where i took the bike he told me not to do this (don't know why, will i loose all the data off my bike?)
My post is due to being fed of waiting now as i've been left in the lurch as he said he was going to speak to Bosch and get back to me earler in the week (which he hasn't, even after messaging him) and i don't want to chase him when he should have made sure everything was correct before i left the shop, so i'm wanting to try sort it myself before taking it somewhere else.
Is it as easy as removing my bike from the app (which i've read) and deleting the app and reinstalling and adding my bike again, will this sort things or will i loose my bike data? Or do i need to take it to a dealer for them to do there bits again when it's plugged in?
Any assitance / advice would be a massive help, cheers.
