Bosch gen5 new bikes ?

After Eurobike, everyone know a new Bosch cx gen is coming (around 30/9).
Since it will not be an option for brands to carry on with gen4 (commercially speaking),we should see
many (many) new or updated bikes as the motor has other mounting points (2 instead of 3) and the batteries are different (600 and 800).

Does anyone have any info on new bikes coming ?
Some interesting bikes to look out for : Orbea wild,Trek Rail,Cube stereo and maybe other brands that will adopt Bosch...

Surely any brand already selling Bosch bikes, which is most of them now...

The big question will be do they already have the bikes designed and frames ready to go. Does anyone reckon the Bosch launch has been pushed back as all brands have way too much stock of the old stuff?

I mostly wonder about Canyon as their Strive is recent enough, would seem too early to update the frame.

Orbea having released the updated rise and not going for the Bosch SX is also a bit odd, I would have thought they would jump onto the chance to merge the rise and wild into a single frame.

There were a few bikes spotted at Eurobike with the new motor, EMBN showed a few of them. They were mostly from brands that aren’t very well known though, other than that I’ve seen pics of the new Crestline floating around. I’m sure we’ll see more don’t though, a lot of gen 4 bikes are on sale now.

Motor Part number has changed on a few bikes I have seen on the website dealer section bdu375 rather than bdu450 slight revision buy the looks of it

And with a price drop as a bonus. I just ordered a new one from germany, set to 32 km/h in order to attend races where the rules set that limit. Now I have three gen 4 motors for the same bike, the original EU 25, and one that I coud not resist having it set to 45.

Can you swap out just the motor? As in, is it plug and play or do you need to do some software reset to get the whole system (controllers/displays) talking?

Where do you get an unrestricted (or less restricted) motor from?

For my needs, I feel like my Fazua 60 would be pretty ideal if it: 1) could access some of that overboost power, 100% of the time &, 2) didn't have a speed limiter at all which can really be a bit of a danger at times, 3) and I got my hands on that new 480W battery.

It would still be a full power but would close the gap considerably.

My bike is 2022 non smart, the motors come from 4mybike in germany, its plug and play, with the aftermarcket kiox, the app recognises it as a second bike.

Bosch motors can only be configured by a dealer, basically to 25, 32 or 45 km/h. The guys at 4mybike will ask some info about your bike and do the programming at a cost.
Having a bike unrestricted is not going to increase danger. Its very hard to go faster than 45 on the pedals. You
Would need to spin faster than 140 rpm. Mostly when I go faster than that is on steep downhill at 0 rpm.
If you would like to fiddle with on the run speed and assistance limits, the old shimano e8000 and st unlocker app is the way to go.
