Bosch Gen 4 Error codes

Hi there,
I have a Cube reaction hybrid pro.
3 months old with about 850 miles done.
After my last ride, did the usual, cleaned the bike, put on charge etc.
When I disconnected the charger, reset the trip mileage and stored the bike.
2 days later was prepping for a ride and the purion didnt come on, after various tests took it to the bike shop.
They plugged it in and had various error, after resetting 2 remained, both on the drive unit:
550 - Short circuit at cycle computer
55A - Undervoltage error in drive unit
New motor required which has been replaced in warranty within a week thanks to the amazing guys at the shop and prompt delivery from Bosch.
I was under the impression that Gen 4 were very reliable, does anyone know what could have caused the problem just in case I can avoid similar issue in the future? I believe damage was not caused by water.

Not much help on the errors, but i have the CX4 and 625 Powertube with the Purion display and no problems at all. 1200 miles to date

Spoken to lots of riders with the same and to date have not heard of any problems and all seem happy with the setup

Of course, that's not to say that problems don't exist, just that they seem fairly uncommon (as opposed to Brose for example)
