Bosch gen 4 cx to gen 4 smart

Can I change my bosch gen 4 cx motor with a bosch 4 smart if I also change the controller?

And it's a whole lot more difficult to reliably derestrict therefore the options are becoming less for me. Pinion is looking like the best option at this stage although I do have a Zrode Pinion acoustic bike that I have managed to break the gearbox on.....twice so I will anxiously await the reliability reports

Stick with the CX and get a Volspeed v4 for it

I agree but I run Speedbox and it's been fine for nearly three years

Likewise for me. 3 years on speedbox and no issues. Couldn't imagine running without one

Stick with what you have. I have both and I can tell you that the smart system may be good for Bosch but it's definitely no good for the user and especially if your running speedbox, you will have nothing but trouble.
