1 Year old 2024 Canyon Strive ON BOSCH gen 4 motor.
Hope someone can help me. This is a very long process. Since July 2024, Canyon has tried together with Bosch to get my bike running. It has been at Canyon 4 times now. The problem is that the bike power, from the motor stops providing assistance, power, ETC when the bike hits 15-16 kph, (I live in the EU). It is so clear to feel that the bike becomes heavy and no power output from the motor. AT 15-16 kph... IT STOPS.

They have changed all cables, battery and recreated a new Bosch file for the motor. It only helped 30 km run, the bike was so crazy that I could clearly feel the difference from the old one to the new super fast bike that stopped at 25kph. SO SO insane feeling... Thats how it should run.

But now we are back again. Same issue, And what I think is totally strange , is that if I turn off the bike and close the bosch flow app. And start the bike on the button, and open the bosch flow app. It all syncs up, and then the bike is full blast again. Then I can ride 10 km, then I'm back to no power in the engine. It stops giving output in power and assistance at 15-16 kph. In all modes, Tour+, Emtb, Race..

But they just keep resetting the bike. What should I do ? , does anyone know what it could be?. The bike becomes totally heavy and pedals at 15-16 kph. And it is set in Bosch system diagnose for EU 25 kph.

I have tried other bikes with same system - The smart system, those bikes runs like a dream, fast and they tried my bike to, they say : SOMETHING IS STOPPING the bike in the engine, they can feel it too, like for big. 4 guys have tried, and same words they say...

My bike have many errors, here are just a few :

112100
142001
120102
110000

Some of those error codes are wild, e.g.
620012
Your battery has detected a short circuit.

And apparently 113161 is no longer in use, have you done a firmware update since?

At a completely wild guess, I'd say the motor is overheating at higher speeds and switching itself off, but that's pure speculation and as you're in DK too hot isn't the first problem that comes to mind.

I'd suggest you demand a replacement motor, as this is the only thing left not yet swapped out, and this problem really shouldn't be happening. You're still within the 2 year statutory warranty period.

Firmware and total updated on app.
They won’t replace the motor. 👎

Then return the bike and demand your money back as you are entitled to under EU consumer protection laws.
This is the answer, why people spend months trying a product that is obviously faulty is beyond me..

Those error codes are crazy!! You paid good money for a bike thats useless and unrideable. Return it ASAP

you say it has been in for repair 4 times.....but what did they do on those occasions? Given the issue seems mostly about motor power cutting out before the programmed shut off speed of 25kph surely they have changed the speed sensor and ensured the firmware is up to date?? Regardless I agree with the a bove, if they have failed 4 times to make the bike useable you should return it as not it for purpose.

They have change the wires, cables. Next new battery, last again a wire. They do WHAT bosch saying to them eveytime. The speed sensor are at the backwheel, the one , the new that sits on the valve. ALL firmware are 100% up to date. They dont get error from speed sensor, so for me, it must be a sensor inside the engine, that wont will give a error, but are defect anyway. They say i cant return my bike. And bosch wont replace the engine. So iam fucked.....Every time the diagnose says error, they just delete them and reset bike
