Basically No. It's a non smart system so can't be altered.

Ok can a dealer alter them? Im probably not going to want them altered anyways but coming from a brose and bafang background i like to fiddle!
Is upgrading to the smart system possible?

No.

But you can upgrade the display to a Nyon 2 from the Purion. With the Nyon you can buy „individual modes“ as a software upgrade for about 5 Euros one time fee. With that you can define four additional modes to your liking and then change between standard modes and individual modes any time you like. The possible modifications are limited but give you the ability to set the desired support factor at 4 speed points between zero and 25 kph.

@ccrdave
My above answer about modifying the ride modes wasn’t complete.

It‘s true, a dealer can not alter the original Bosch modes, but meanwhile there are additional ride modes available to choose from.

Originally Bosch CX gen4 motors came with four static ride modes which differed in max. support and max. torque.
  • ECO, 60% support, 40 nm torque
  • TOUR, 140% support 50 nm torque
  • SPORT, 240% support, 85 nm torque
  • TURBO, 340% support, 85 nm torque
Between 2017 and 2019 Bosch introduced two optional ride modes which offer dynamic support factors.
  • eMTB, 140-340% support, 85 nm torque, replaces SPORT
  • TOUR+, 60-340% support, 85 nm torque, replaces TOUR and needs eMTB installed
You can see a dealer and have him install the combination of four ride modes you like.

Read about the ride modes and how they work here (select „Bosch eBike System 2“ on that page):
