Bosch CX motor

Just looking at bike specs does any one know if
a 2020 Bosch CX performance gen 4 motor is
the same as a 2020 Bosch CX cruise.

Looking at the Riese & Mueller website, it would appear not. The cruise motor seems to have a lower maximum torque.

Does anyone know how do you tell the difference ? Is there a model number / physical difference ? Do they both have CX on the casing ?

They are different model numbers and you can read them on the display. The Cruise should not have CX on the casing.

It does seem confusing My Cube has a Gen 4 CX but in the spec, and when it has had a dealer service printout it calls it a cruise.

The cruise in the Reise & Muller link is 63Nm but the cruise on this spec is 75Nm,

In that example Cruise may relate to the max assisted speed.

Thanks Doomanic. Some sites I have looked at for new bikes refer to the motor just as Cruise but they are high end eMTB’s so they must be CX gen 4.
As I mentioned my current motor does say CX and I bought it as a 2020 gen 4, but when I got the printout diagnostic from the Bosch service sheet it said Cruise.
