Like the headline says the cable pulled out of the head unit when the handlebar went past 1 80°, has anybody experienced this? I cannot seem to get the head unit apart, with the screws out of it. It still won’t come apart. Or do I just have to replace this brand new piece?

Depending what unit it is, I believe you have to replace it, to my wifes bike it cost around 50€ if I remember right...

are you sure it doesn't just push back in again?
all the modern Bosch ones do, they are only held in by friction and have a white line indicator to line up when inserting

like in this video at 2:56

Usually peoples come loose from being knocked etc and they don't get why their bike isn't working, deakers should probably explain the cables are push fit.
If I never bought the smart phone grip I would have been at a bike shop probably 3x saying my bike instantly powers off

That would be great, and is how this should actually be made! except no. The wires are loose, there was silicone holding it in place. I will add a photo later, but I think the question is moot, as I ordered a new head unit at $100 off eBay. Thanks for the answers folks!

I’ve found the units on eBay, avg cost is $125, for the Bosch Purion, I should have put the model in the headline… picked one up for $100..
