Bike being repaired in tier 3?

Dropped my bike off at specialized chelmsford at the weekend for a battery repair/replacement but nos chelmsford has been moved in to tier 3 because of covid. Will i be able to collect it when its ready or have to wait and be without my bike ? Any ideas folks ?

Where ever
If you are already in Chelmsford not a problem, but if you are outside of Chelmsford you should not enter a tier 3 and really the bike shop should not let you go there Knowing where you are coming from. But it’s up to you. Depending how far you have to travel to get your bike. It’s crap out there at the moment. I would think the bike shop would want it out the shop once it’s done as much as you want it back.

Could always have a courier pick it up for you !
Realistically mate nobody will give a hoot just take jells and wear a mask , I drive all over the country and the only way I can tell what tier I’m in is if the pubs are open !

Traveling into a tier 3 should be avoided unless its an " essential" journey ..
If the LBS is viewed as "essential" ..then should collecting your bike not also be deemed so ?

I would just go and get it. As @#lazy says, just take some hand gels and a facemask for when you go into the shop. Do your best to keep your 2m safe distance. Bike shops are deemed an essential service, because exercise is seen as essential. Do not feel guilty, just go.

Like others, I have been driving lots of miles recently because my 90-year old Mother was ill and needed to be visited. Nobody ever stopped me or even looked like they might want to.
