bike advice , giant trance 1 , focus sam2 6.8 or merida 160-8000

i am tossing up over my next ride, these are my options so far , anyone got the good or the bad on either of these bikes, I do know the focus sam will need the TEC pac ( extra $800) i dont know anything on the yamaha motors . anyway plug away but keep it short and sweet and lets not attack anyone for their opinion

I really like the merida mullet set up. The 29er on the front is like cheating and I still get to do the tight switchbacks that my friend on his reign thought I wouldn't manage. I also like the 36 spoke rear and 32 spoke front - merida is the only manufacturer I'm aware of that does this for ebike, even though it is logical. The same friend on his reign (bought about a month earlier than I bought) has replaced his wheels because they were pretty much destroyed - we ride together. He is a faster, harder rider though. No trouble with my wheels. I have an e140, which is slightly different geometry to the e160; mine is more of a trail bike (equal climbing and descending).

Very happy with my Trance 1. Well over 1000 miles on it now and no issues.
