If I had more spare cash I’d buy a 160mm Lyrik too, but there nowt wrong with the Rev or Pike forks, & I’ve seen these dumped from new bikes for a pittance. There loads of suspension upgrades or mods that can be done to the RS fork range to make them as plush as you like.

I replaced My Comp Lyric Select/Charger 2.1 upgrade with a 160mm Fox 36 Factory Fit4, huge improvement in comfort.

I have a 2019, installed a lyrik ultimate 160mm , pluuuuushhhh. I had a pike in my previous bike and it made it felt like a rigid fork in comparison.

I just installed a smashpot in my Marcocchi Bomber Z1 (2020 Kenevo) and it smoothens things out incredibly. A correct setup coil makes wonders when it comes to plushness. It may take som poppiness away though...

I really like the DVO Onyx on my 2019 comp. Super super supple.

I upgraded to the E-Bike specific DVO Onyx SC E1. Wow, totally different bike. I also have the DVO Topaz T-3. I use it for everything. Kills it at Mammoth Mountain bike park and does just as well on any cruising trail.

The top end RS forks are much easy to set up for the average rider than the top end For stuff, and usually significantly cheaper. Suspension "plushness" is as much to do about setting up the suspension correctly as the fork itself, and IMO any decent fork set up well will achieve what you want, you dont need to go crazy on top end stuff.

Those 35 Gold forks are bad news. Really nasty stiction. Criminal that they come on relatively expensive bikes.

Those in our household have been sold on. The Fox 36 and DVO Diamonds we have are now super plush in comparison.

Hi
How are you getting on with this set up ?
I'm thinking of doing the same on my Levo.
I've been using the Topaz for a while and I really like it
Currently got an upgraded Pike on the front with 160mm travel , debonair etc
It's ok but still a bit harsh for me on the small bump sensitivity and I'd like a plusher fork
I'm sure something could be done with my Pike, but I'm a bit seduced by a shiney DVO Onyx
I've heard good things about it and totally coincidencly the colour scheme matches my bike ? how are you finding it performs ?
Do you have any pics of your setup please ?
Thanks

I still love this fork, Its beefy for a big guy like my but handles the down hill stuff like a champ. This is the only picture I have right now. I put something else up later.

Put a Smashpot coil in the fork, that'll be the best bang for buck. Pretty sure the chassis is the same size as the Lyrik so it should fit but it would be best to ask Steve at Vorsprung to be sure.
I'll second for Smashpot. It made a big difference on the washboard hard pack that is part of my daily ride. I installed it in my Pike along with the 2021 damper.

Zeb zeb zeb. Select version blows away my lyrik ultimate away. And cheaper
I've been considering purchasing a Lyrik ultimate to drop a few grams from the front end, or another fox36 (can't decide) for my Levo and your post intrigued me.
Can you elaborate a little on how the zeb select blows away the lyrik ultimate please?
Were they both the same travel and offset etc?

Has anyone on here installed a charger 2.1 damper in the RS revelations? And if so was there a big difference/how did it perform?

I went with 160 zeb select only because it was only one available at the time. Had all intention of upgrading damper later on. So blown away by performance as is . Stick with 160. As it’s already 10 mm longer than lyrik. Select is still a closed damper system with a floating ifb disc. Looking at the design, I think it’s better thought out than 2.1. Just less adjustment. Still considered a charger damper. I’m 215 pounds. And settled at 75 psi and no tokens. Yet to use all 160 mm
