Hi all!

I’m in for an eMTB and I’m quite new to it with not much experience in the field.
Did some dirt when I was younger so very familiar with components and how to compare but having a hard time making a choice between the following 2. What would be your expert view?
- SCOTT Ransom eRide 910 (2021 version found for 7100€)
- CUBE Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC Actionteam 750 (2022 version found for 6700€)

I love the technology of the Cube with the new bosch app to fine tune the motor but maybe the bike will be a bit boring and fork is only fit4.
On the other hand love the specs of the Scott and seems to have more character, but opioid Bosch technology with poor purion integration for 2022 time.

Looking forward to your views.
Antoine

To me it’s a bike. So try both and that will show which fits you best. Being a bike why care about the app and playing with that. If you want to play with apps get a new phone or a games console.

Bike more important that the toys.

Thanks for your answer.
i fully agree with you, my comment is more on why not get the latest technology and bigger battery of a newer model, especially as I will be riding in the alps there is a lot of camber so fine tuning the motor and distance can be important.
on the other side the Scott is a proven bike with great specs (a bit better than the cube) but with smaller batery, a bit heavier, and no ability to fine tune the motor.

Both will probably be very good bikes. You should look at what you'll use them for. I'd break the decision into :

- You'll need to be doing some serious cycling to really need the 180mm forks on the Scott, so consider if you really want that.
- The Cube is a great bike and that newer Bosch system is definitely the future for them. But the older system on the Scott is more than capable and there's still a lot of support for it.

I wanted a Cube but availability made me get a Scott Strike. I'm really pleased with it. The Purion is fine if you want to just ride the bike. It's unobtrusive and just works. The latest Bosch firmware has trail+ mode and you can just stick it in trail and it will make the decsions about how much assistance to give you and then the only time you'll use the controller is to turn it on and off. Having said that, I have upgraded mine to a Nyon which does all the bells and whistles that the Cube has and more, except the bigger battery of course.

In summary, I don't think you'll be dissapointed with either

I agree about the Purion being unobtrusive and functional, in play it's set-and-forget.

If you really want to fine-tune current/older Bosch motors you can if you use certain 3rd-party technologies typically used to derestrict the speed limit, the higher-end ones have BlueTooth and Apps, so it's there if you want.

Im more the kit type rider. I'd go for the action team due to fox factory stuff.
It's a suss, so the only really important parts of any suss, are the suss bits. Cube wins hands down for that. Its also got a good drivetrain- XT and increased battery w/h.
The only downside to it is it's a carbon frame. But that's a personal dislike.

Cheers for the view! Even on Fit4 you still find the fox factory better?

I dont have the factory, im a cheap Scotsman ;)
But I would say that with the factory, even if you find the damper not to your liking, you're mostly there.
Ive the performance 36, and a new damper is on the cards for me as i find it pretty harsh.

I've formed the opinion from reading threads that no matter the fork(RS/Fox/Maz etc) they all seem to need an upgrade from the off. At least with the Kashmir you get a longer lasting coating than the black ano.
