Battery Test

Nothing too exciting here but I thought I’d give my 625 battery a test today as out with my mates on their non-ebikes.

Dropped assistance setting 1 and 2 to 50% and 125% respectively.

Rode 44km and had 68% battery remaining.

I did a few blasts up hill on the 125% setting but 95% of the time I was at 50% assistance.

It did get a bit heavy on the legs towards the end of the ride but 120km could be possible. The Maxxis Rekons I fitted a couple of weekends ago definitely reduce rolling resistance.

120k is definitely doable. My last two long runs have been 120k on a 625 battery with 1350m elevation. This is on my 2021 trance with all the assistance set at the standard 100% . I find these days I’m looking more at the elevation on a ride more than the km. I know if the ride is around 1600mtrs climbing I’m safe for the loop, anything over that could be emptying the tank

I didn’t mention, I have the 2021 Trance X E+1. I have a 2022 arriving in September. Will be great to see what the 750 battery can do, strengthens the proposition of an ebike.

At 50% assistance I could keep up with my mates on the hills too, whereas on a non-e I would be way back.
