Hi

I’ve been out on my bike for the last 3 days. 25 miles each ride.
Total charges since new is 15.
Now I have problems with the battery. My Specialized App says 100% health. And 100% charged. When you turn it on. 8 lights lit up green the other 2 are not. When it was charging a red light came on. And then went from red to a pale green flickering. And won’t charge to 100%. When switched on. The battery shows 8 Segments lit up. So switched it off. Switched back in again. Red right came on. 3 segments not lit up and the green led flickering.
Anyone had this before.

Hmm strange one.. wonder if a firmware update might fix it? failing that it'll probably have to go the LBS for diagnostics :(
How long have you had it?

Isn't there a list of error codes in the handbook or online?

I couldn't find anything definitive on the web, but some forum posts I found seemed to suggest that there's a warranty claim in your future.

For some reason the battery has corrected it self. No red lights, All green. Charged it up again. All 10 lights went green.

My 2017 Levo Expert has just had the same issue with the charge or charge status lights. App shows battery health is 100% and completed charge cycles 20.

Bike performed excellent on yesterdays 41 miles. Never had an issue before. The Garmin app also shows 100% charge and works as normal to change the modes.

Is the warranty 2 years for the bike and battery?

Has anyone had advice from their LBS on this ault or will it likely correct itself and not return?

Further to my post above my bike now randomly turns itself on and has lost 25% battery charge since Sunday. I have recharged again but still a mixture of red and green lights.

Looking like it needs to go back to Specialised for diagnosis.

My 2017 had one led disappear about 6 months ago took it into spesh concept store I bought it from they sent the battery to spesh to check it out and they sent a new battery back no Quibles. A few weeks later the motor developed sudden surges of power and the crank arms wouldn't spin round freely when pushed back, took the bike back in they stripped the motor out of the frame sent it off to spesh 7 days later new motor(y) can't fault spesh for customer service here;)

Do love the look of the 2019 and fancy an upgrade though have to say the little issues are making me nervous and holding back on the upgrade.

I know this is an old thread, just wanted to add some info here as I have had similar issues. The red LED's that appear after you have recently washed the bike are caused due to water getting into the switch. If you dry it out with a hairdryer they will all go green again. the next time you wash the bike either take the battery out or use a small bead of waterproof glue on the inside of the switch to seal it.

Having same issue on my 2018 FSR Carbon Turbo Levo. Washed bike once and then turbo levo battery is on the fritz. Lights up sometimes at Level 1 (low speed)...then sometimes at Level 2....(med speed).. Bike is *sometimes* powered but remote doesn't work. Won't change power levels up or down.

Took it to my LBS yesterday and they verified it is a battery issue. Hopefully Specialized warranties it - as this bike only has 170 miles on it and battery has 20 cycles and reports at 100% health. Seems like a huge issue if these bikes can't get wet.

I did try leaving the battery and bike in the sun for 8 hours in case it was possible to evaporate water (if any). No luck. Hopefully Specialized provides a new battery and this issue doesn't happen again to new(er) battery.

I guess I am surprised by your report that your bike only has 170 miles on the clock and your battery reports 20 cycles already. My identical bike has 1000 miles on it and the diagnostic function on the Mission Control App reports 25 charge cycles.

4 days after dropping off bike and LBS is telling me Specialized wants them to test by swapping a spare battery. I assume they are just trying to determine if it is bike vs battery. Unfortunately my LBS doesn't have a 2018 Levo battery on hand. Hopefully this will get resolved soon.
