I’ve ridden my new Levo SL for over 8 weeks now and absolutely loving it, bought it specifically to get to the top of flow lines easily . A big plus on the SL is that you can remove the main battery and then fly with 1 or 2 of the 160 w/hr batteries.I have never used more than 50% of my battery and what I would love is to get a smaller say 160 w/ hr battery that goes into the main frame, 1 to travel and 2 to save roughly 1 kg on the bike. I know you can put the 160 battery in the bottle cage and ride like this but I hate riding with any sort of back pack for water or for carrying a battery which would be dangerous given the riding I do. My question to Specialised is have you thought of this and or is there anyway that there is a battery available to achieve this? Is there anyway the present battery 160 battery could fit in the main down tube?

I'm not certain but I think you can only fly with the bottle battery if its hand luggage, you can't have a battery in the bike.

Yes that is correct, thanks. For some strange reason the airlines will allow 2x 160 in hand luggage but not 1 320. What I’m hoping for Is for some help on a battery specialist as all I know is the battery in the Levo SL is a 48 v system, surely there must be a battery available basically half the size of the main battery that you could fit in the down tube, basically the bottle mount one.(different shape)I have read all the threads on guys saving weight on their SLs but surely this could be an easy way out to save 1 kg in the right place and allow for a water bottle ?I use my SL to do jump lines and so generally after 2 hours my upper body has had enough.

Adding @Specialized Rider Care - wondered if this product feedback / suggestion could be sent to the relevant team :)

Really likey Sl Levo but I wish it had a bigger battery. I hate the thought of the range extender. Surly Specialized can make a battery which would fit. I've been told it's the plug but I don agree with that it's fairly easy to remove and a swap should be possible.
