What are the guidelines for looking after the battery. With winter approaching I’m wondering if i need to bring it into the house and keep it at room temperature. Should I recharge straight after a ride?
Should I run the battery down before a full charge?
thanks

I like to help people's batteries last longer lol.

Basically don’t keep it charged at 100%. After a ride best to charge to say ~50%. Charge to 80% (or 100% if you require full range) before every ride not after. Keep the battery at room temperatures ideally between say 15°& 20°C. Best not to deep discharge below say 10% or 20% if possible but there is a zero buffer so not going to harm the battery if you do.

Good advice above. Also don’t charge it immediately after a ride as the cells may be hot inside and you won’t actually be able to tell this because of the plastic case. I’d allow sufficient time for them to cool first.

True, but unless you are in a hot climate and/or you have been hitting turbo up some steep inclines immediately before the end of your ride then 10 mins sitting before charging should be enough. Discharge rates on these packs are barely 1C at peak, so heat build up in the pack should not be huge (though I accept the motor will also be transferring heat into the battery when it's working hard).
