Hi folks, I want /need at times to carry a spare gen 3 700 levo battery.
I know of lots of walking/ climbing day sacks that will do the job but would rather use a bag made for the job. I’ve searched the forum and the XLC pack looks like a possibility. I already own the evoc bag and it’s just not quite big enough. So, before I order the XLC can anybody say with 100% surety that a 2022 levo 700 wh battery fits in it properl?, I’d be eternally grateful.
Cheers, Paul.

Well, the XLC BA S94. E23 ebikerucksack arrived today.
So, I can happily say that a 700wh gen3 levo battery does fit.
However, if you use the internal pocket it is just a tiny bit snug at the top.
Not using the pocket the battery fits easily.
Paul.

Thx (y)
Did you have to dismount the Rockguard to make it fit in your bag ?

Are the Gen 3 and Gen 2 batteries the same ?
I read something about them being the same apart from the Rockguard, is that the case ?
Does the Rockguard need to be removed to fit the battery in that XLC rucksack?

Thanks

Gen 2 and Gen 3 batteries are the same - except for the Rockguard

The rock guard does need to be removed in order to fit, but only takes a few moments to remove and re fit.
And yes gen 2 and gen 3 are the same size . Even the 500 and 700 are the same size so are interchangeable.
The only difference is the rock guard. A Gen 3 guard can be bought and fitted to any gen 2 battery.

It's frustrating when the bag just doesn't fit right. I did some digging, and it seems like the XLC pack could be a good fit for your 2022 Levo 700wh battery, but it's always a good idea to double-check with customer reviews or reach out to the manufacturer to be sure. In my opinion, it's better to be safe than sorry, right?
In the meantime, I recently came across this awesome blog about leather care at Buy Premium Leather Bags & Luxury Accessories Online - Von Baer™. Even though it's leather-related, they might have some helpful tips for maintaining your backpack, too.
