Bash guard at chainring on Trek Rail?

Hi! I’m trying to understand if I can fit a bashguard at the chainring. It looks like I can (I see a third bolt spot that is empty) but I searched first before posting and found another comment that Gen 4 Bosch motor doesn’t accept a bashguard. So I’m confused.

The motor "sump" guard will hit before the chainring on my Rail in almost every case with a 34T front chainring.

Is that guard pretty tough? I've hit mine a few times on a log and it seems ok. But how hard can you hit it? Lol

I have a
2021 bulls Copperhead with Bosch motor
and a
2021 trek rail Xt with bosch
and Teks bash guard is a beast it makes the Bulls Guard on same motor doing same job look like feathers protecting an egg. ie: not good.
The bash guard is legit.
