hey guys/gals- picked up a Relay and had 2 questions

1) Any concerns with back pedaling the motor? IE: when going to Lube the chain on the ground, if I were to stick an allen key in the chainring spider to lock out the motor freehub. I didn't see anything in the Fazua website

2) Has anyone else felt a slip or engagement step, when pedaling from a stand still? Regardless of power mode and only on the left side

1) Tend to use a bike stand or re-usable strap around the pedal and chain ring. No problems so far back-pedalling to clean/lube.
2) No but I'm on a fairly new bike. Assume the crank is properly nipped up tight / on correctly. Only left side sounds more like a crank issue to me but I'm relatively new to eMTBs, old hand at home fettling MTBs though.

Hey there, I was just wondering if you sorted out the slipping sensation you were feeling with your left crank. I'm noticing the same issue with my new bike, not sure if it is normal.
Thanks!

It went away or I stopped noticing it

One thing that you probably already know, is that the crank arms need to be checked after a couple of intial rides

mine was coming loose and was under torqued

You can lube your chain by pedaling the motor backwards, with no ill effects.

Riding the relay, I have not had any issues you have mentioned. The issues I have faced are motor growl in the boost mode whether it be in a low or high torque application. The most noticable complaint I have had is motor cutoff which seems sudden and harsh. Enjoy your relay!
