Automatic Ebike shifting!!

I don't know if I'd want auto shifting on trails... Different story on a road...

lnteresting tech. Would be great if it works.

l wonder how well it would work off road, climbing a technical trail for instance.

But for road use it could be great, particularly as suggested for an ebike.

Enviolo has that alredy but these are for city/trekking bikes and i
think this hub is for theese types of ebikes too.
If the price is right this could be a big thing for the commuter ebikes.

I find EMTB mode on Bosch motors almost like automatic in that I tend to put it in that mode and leave it there except for exceptional situations.

It's aimed at the commuter market not mtb or road.

A dumb Automatic shifting hub gear system would be pretty terrible on a road bike or mtb You'll generally have a different preferred cadence for hills to the flat as well as stood up or sat down, Sprinting or spinning on a roadbike or an mtb. But Off road gearing and cadence choice play a large part in maitaining grip and momentum when climbing. Even a super expensive smart system would be massively flawed
