So after an extremely wet ride this morning my 2020 Turbo Levo will not power up. This has happened a few times and is not too much of an issue as it keeps going during the ride and only fails to power up after the ride and auto power off. Alternate flashing battery lights indicate a short. It will be fine tomorrow after it has tried out. My point is can i alter the time before it auto powers off ? There may be occasions when I stop for an hour or so during a very wet ride and it will auto power off and not start again leaving me stranded

Others will be better informed but after that happened to my wife's COMO, we decided to use a protective spray, no issue since for either of us in last 4 months ( yes, it has been summer but I ride through streams frequently and she through puddles !) I may be missing the point though

Protective spray on what?

They really need to make these bikes more water proof than they are. I'm nervous AF every time I just need to clean the bike.

As expected the levo powered up no problem this morning. Took off the non drive side cover last night and it appeared dry but gave it a blast with a hair dryer and reapplied some electrical grease to main plug. Still wouldn't power up. I wonder if there is safety timeout period ??

I' m sure we will see the true ( as opposed to claimed) IP - ratings will leap over the next few years not that that will help any who already have e-bikes. Most claimed IP6X connectors just aren't which doesn't help any of the bike manufacturers who have been taking things at face value, and 'waterproof' membranes ( like the TCU) rarely are in my experience.

After I realised what was going on , I started drying my bike with a high output animal air dryer (o_O but chf 60 or so), including all electrical connections , after a post-bike hose rinse than cleaning with a Decathlon no-water bike cleaner. I finish off when dry by coating all electrical connections with the muc-off ultra corrosion or whatever it's called ( although non-proprietary will work just as well Im sure) and any time after bikes' exposure to water. Touching wood, but no issues since I started this routine. Pet dryer could of course be swapped out with a hairdryer or air compressor -- although partners and family might have views on that.

I had the same no power on issue after washing for over a year on my 2020 Levo. I would have to start it with the reverse spinning of the rear tire. I took it back to the dealer 4 times. The last time they replaced the battery to motor power cable as they discovered corrosion in the connector. I rode it in the Oregon winter mud then washed it. It powered on no problem. The next day it powered on no problem. So far the problem has been resolved.
