Anyone with a friend at Focus???

I posted end July under following tag 'FOCUS JAM 2 - SQUEAK / STRIPPED THREAD AT ROCKER AND TOP OF REAR SHOCK ' . Found out that the bolt and rocker are stripped and so I requested both parts romrm the dealer to whom I bought the bike from in Dec 19. (part request 2.8.21) After continual visits / phone calls (COVID lock-downs not helping here) I finally got a call this week (that is 3 MONTHS after original request for part) that parts wont come till Feb 22.

So my question is does anyone have a friend at Focus Germany such that i can get this from the horses mouth so to speak. I just don't have any confidence in my local dealer and feel i might be getting some BS.

Not sure if they still work there, but you could try phoning Anja or Vanessa on +49 4471 966 401 745.

I spoke with both of them two years ago when I had a problem with my bike delivery date and also a spare part I needed.

Not sure if they speak English (I speak German), but worth a try.

What about getting the rocker thread re tapped (possibly increase the sizing with appropriate bolt) and still be able to ride the bike in the meantime?

Thanks yes I have placed a new bolt but the rocker is damaged. Was hoping a direct line to Focus may have assisted

Try the CEO on +49 4471 7635 xxxx , I’m sure he’ll have time to fix your threaded bolt ! if no answer use your local dealer , that’s what they’re for

Ha. cheers mate... yeah the local dealer is simply not up to the task... thus my reaching out to the community. Give me the last 4 numbers and ill give the ceo a ring.

Can you show on more detail where the rocker is damaged? Maybe take it apart so we can possibly help more

Hey thanks for the offer..by happenstance I met someone on the trail whom has given details of a specialist suspension guy who though mainly motocross orientated has built some mtb bike frames. I will give this guy a go first
