Pretty keen to see how a 29 front runs on the big bird. Seems that it might be a Fox36 with 170mm travel... A guy is selling a 51mm offset one a bit cheap but not sure I want to change the rake as well.

I changed to a 51 offset Lyrik with MRP Ramp Control, 65mm Atlas stem, 35mm Renthal riser Bars (40mm), handles much better, and changed hubs to Industry Nine, X01 casette with Wolf Tooth 44 cog. Additionally, Specialized cuts steerers to short, cut this one 8.5 inches to raise the bars and have adjustability) so I don't feel bent over like an XC rider on it. Scrapped the Wu dropper, too problematic for me, if I need one I'll use a Gravity Dropper.

Cheers bud. What did you like about the rake change?

I've done the taller bars too... Just looking at Spesh's Enduro geometry. 29er runs a 51mm rake, 27.5 46mm...

The Kenevo is running more travel obviously but seems their might be some logic in going to a 170mm, 29er with 51mm rake...

Medium. I like the increased rake, picked up a few mph average for total ride on my normal trail route due to improved handling, tested different stems and found 65,, was the best with the new fork. I put a new sterer on the original fork for a comparison, still don't like the original.

I'm on an Xl. Agree about the stem, pita. If I can swing the fork for cheapish I might give it a whirl, am sure I can get my cash back if I don't like it anyways.
