Anyone change the chainring to a 32t?

Just wondering how hard it is to pedal this bike in the mtns when the battery dies. Has anyone tried a 32t?

When the battery dies? Not easy. I'm running a 32t with a 9-46 cassette. I use the whole cassette and 32 seems to be spot on. If I had the 11-46 cassette I'd keep the 34 on the front.

Which 32t chainring are you guys using. Also thinking the 34-9 is pretty useless.

I’m hoping a Renthal 1XR will mount up. The chainguide claims 34t and up, but sure that could be tweaked? I’ll never rip 34-9 on my trails. Be nice to have an easier gear in case you get too deep and battery cooks.

Nothing special, just needs to be 104 bcd. I'm running a Race Face narrow wide.

34T ring, 160mm cranks, 46t rear cog and 50lb enduro bike make for a tough go up anything steep. I’d go to a 28T if I was planning on pushing the limits of my battery range.

With the speeds you are riding with a 32t, no need for a chainguide, a narrow wide would do fine.

34t seems to be the sweet spot for restricted (20mph) riding.

Sounds like a plan. I ordered a 32t just in case I get buried somewhere.
