is there any trick to removing the rear shock? Just the front bolt and the bolt on top of the pivot? Don't have to remove the pivot do I ?

Push something to wedge between the back of seat tube and tyre, I use a packed out toilet bag. Helps stop the frame collapsing and much easier to put the shock back in.

That’s is … 2 minutes job but don’t forget to release the air first.
Why remove the air first? Is this an Orbea thing?
The shock is unloaded apart from the weight of the frame (which will have a very minor effect) and it should hold the frame in a good position to provide easy access to the shock mounting bolts. Reinstalling the shock is also easier if it has decent pressure in it.

Obviously, remove the air before trying to open the shock and also before posting to anyone.

I agree I should not need to remove the air, and to reinstall the shock I was just planning on putting the bike on its side which usually makes it easier.

Ok, new shock on. You do not need to air down the old shock to remove, and I deffinitly suggest laying the bike on its side, way easier to reinstall the bolts.
