Análisis 8000 km Cañón Neuron ON 5

6) Otros aspectos;
Pivotes Suspension trasera; giran perfectamente bielétas y articulaciones.

Analysis 8000 km Canyon Neuron ON 5

1) Transmission; In the Neuron ON 5.0 they should put XT cassette and chain as standard.
At 1700 km the Shimano HG500 11-36 10s does not work fine, (when putting the third chain on the Pinion 11 it hit the paint chipping) and you have to change for a better one, I put a Shimano XT CS-M771 10 -speed cassette + the XT CN-HG95 chain and the
gear change is now perfect.
After 8000 km, everything is perfect, the plate is still good and the XT CS-M771 lasts 6 chains and more than 3000 km.
2) Brakes; switch to Deore BRM6120 4-piston and 203mm SM-RT70 SLX discs, front and rear. Braking improves by 60% and you feel more confident going downhill.
3) Suspensions; they work very together, being easy to regulate.
It has a fairly smooth progressivity that adapts very well to Trail-type use.
4) Wheels:
The Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.6 '' has a lot of puncture on the seventh puncture, I changed for Eliminator grid trail T7 front and rear, 4000 km without punctures and they roll very well in dry and wet.
5) Components; The crisp steering and disassembling the bearings were changed and everything was fixed. The battery switch peeled off the plastic and I put a 3M clear sticker on it and the battery base is breaking apart (with two zip ties fixed for now).
6) Other aspects;
Rear suspension pivots; they rotate perfectly bielétas and articulations.
Boost, Trail and Eco mode in intermediate level (Medium), it is the one I use the most with (75 km of autonomy) AND Low Eco if I want more autonomy (125 km) or lose some weight.
THE BEST:
Price / Quality.
Easy handling and quite high pedaling efficiency, with a very balanced behavior that will not give any problem.
Natural and noble dynamic behavior.
Lightness and agility.
AN IMPROVEMENT
They should put XT cassette / chain as standard and 203 mm discs, as well as well-greased and quality steering bearings.
The only flaw in the ON 5.0 neuron is the lack of compatibility with reservoir buffers.
Putting an anchor point for support, with the Pletscher standard, would be a point of improvement.
Post-sale service can be improved, since when I have used it the result is null.
CONCLUSION
Suspension system very well achieved, it has a fairly smooth progressivity that adapts very well to a Trail type use.
Possibly the best TRAIL / ALL MOUNTAIN for price / quality on the market.
They should keep a full suspension ebike in their catalog for ~ 3,300 euros, which they currently don't have. And improve the assortment in length and depth of double suspension ebikes with aluminum frames, (they are more durable, economical and ecological than carbon ones).
As well as homologate or recommend workshops that provide after-sales service to Canyon in each provincial capital, because when you buy a Canyon the best thing is the price / quality, but as time passes when you need something you feel very unprotected by the disastrous post service sale.

Analysis after 9000 km Canyon Neuron ON 5.0
1) Transmission; In the Neuron ON 5.0 they should put XT cassette and chain as standard.
At 1700 km the Shimano HG500 11-36 10s does not work fine, (when putting the third chain on the Pinion 11 it hit the paint chipping) and you have to change for a better one, I put a Shimano XT CS-M771 10-speed cassette + the XT Chain CN-HG95 and the
gear change is now perfect.
After 9000 km, everything is perfect, the XT CS-M771 lasts 6 chains and more than 3000 km. The STEPS SM-CRE80 34 tooth chainring was changed at 8500 km.
2) Brakes; Switch to 4-piston Deore BRM6120 with 203mm SM-RT70 SLX discs, front and rear. Braking improves by 80% and you feel more confident going downhill.
3) Suspensions; They work very well together, being easy to regulate.
It has a fairly smooth progressivity that adapts very well to Trail-type use.
4 wheels:
The Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.6 '', punctures a lot on the seventh puncture, I changed for some Eliminator grid trail T7 front and rear, 5000 km without punctures and they roll very well in dry and wet.
5) Components; The crisp steering and disassembling the bearings were changed and everything was fixed. The battery switch peeled off the plastic and I put a 3M clear sticker on it and the battery base cover is fragile, (it was changed as it was breaking apart).
6) Other aspects;
Rear suspension pivots, pivot links and joints perfectly.
Boost, Trail and Eco mode in intermediate level (Medium), is the one I use the most with (75 km of autonomy) AND Low Eco if I want more autonomy (125 km) or lose some weight.
THE BEST:
Price / Quality.
Easy handling and quite high pedaling efficiency, with a very balanced behavior that will not give any problem.
Natural and noble dynamic behavior.
Lightness and agility.
It is possible to put the new battery (BT-E8016) on it, simply by cutting a pin from the insert plastic of the base.
TO IMPROVE
They should have XT cassette / chain as standard and 203mm discs, as well as quality, well-greased headset bearings.
The only fault with the Neuron ON 5.0 is the lack of compatibility with reservoir shocks.
Putting an anchor point for support, with the Pletscher standard, would be a point of improvement.

CONCLUSION
Very well achieved suspension system, it has a fairly smooth progressivity that adapts very well to a Trail type use.
Possibly the best TRAIL / ALL MOUNTAIN for price / quality on the market.
