I disagree, but only with the new Butcher Grid Trail T9 2.3. It has a surprisingly good grip even on wet roots and rocks. I use it on the front.
And very good damping, much better than Maxxis tyres.

My point was that Specialized sponsored World Cup DH Racers didn't even want to use Specialized tires. In BC, Canada, Maxis tires are the most popular tires by far and with the number of options to choose from, the seem to have claimed the King of the Hill title at the highest level. Whatever works for you, roll with it!
