Hi guys. I have a 2019 Trance E+1. Its an awesome bike but as I weigh 110 kg the rear shock can't handle the pace. Any advice on a coil shock would be appreciated. Thanks

Didn't the Trace E+SX 1 Pro come with a coil Fox DHX2 shock? You could go with that? Looks like it uses a 185x52.5 stroke shock.
A good alternative is also the Marzocchi Bomber CR shock, it's almost half the cost of the DHX2. I just put one of my Devinci Troy and I've been really happy with it.

I actually bought it after watching this video.

You can install any shock that meet those parameters : trunnion mount and 185 x 552.5. The SX has a trunnion shock too.

I've got a 185x55mm DVO Jade X on my Trance E.

Amazing bit of kit - certainly an improvement over the piddly FOX DPS

The only downside is the lack of progression which isnt a problem until it's a big problem i.e bottom out. I'm running a 700lb spring for this very reason

Thanks Flying Dutchman. What weight are you. Also I use my bike pretty hard out. Do you know if a progressively wound spring would help my ample weight. Thanks

About 120kg after a shit and a shave

In theory, a progressive spring will be the ticket but there's no spring on the market that would be heavy enough at the end of the stroke. The closest I've seen is the DVO at 575-700lb, you're a lighter than me so it may work for you. I'm be looking for something like 650-750lb....or perhaps a salad:p:p

I'm going to be taking my bike to my suspension tech in a few weeks and the Trance dialed ?? I'll let you know what he does
