Quick update on my stance... had the bike just 6 weeks and covered 300 trouble free miles.... everything has bedded in nicely and is a total joy to ride, range wise im doing 35-40 hard miles with 2000-3000 ft of climbing and still having 40-50% of battery left( im 85 kg but pretty fit)....i dont think theres anything i want to change so far, and im always like a kid at xmas night before a ride lol... good to know i rode with a levo other day for 35 miles... i got home with 51% battery left... his levo died before we got back !!!! Go Giant “

Hey Lee, nice bike. Have a Trance on order and I'm not far from Stokesley. Delivery not until March but I'm keen to get out with fellow Ebikers.

That's some range! I tried my Specialised Kenevo (2019 Comp) with minimal support just to see how far I'd get and managed 38 miles and 3000 feet of climbing before battery died completely. I weigh 73kg. I wonder if the difference is down to your input or a more efficient battery/motor?

Im 85 kg, but quite fit but the motor/battery is defo more efficient as last weekend i ride with a levo at 35 miles his levo died mine still had 49% left!!

How can you be certain that you weren't pressing on the pedals more and the other rider wasn't more reliant on the motor assistance?
We was riding side by side and stuck to lowest settings.. not 100% accurate.. but both same weight etc.... it’s obvious the giant pisses the levo etc on range

Yeah id looked at the levo etc but Giant swear by bigger ranges... on eco i can do 70 miles over 4000 ft... or a 30 mile serious mountainous ride on trail.. so im happy with that

Specialized have an app for calculating range on each of the different Levo models, subject to input of rider characteristics, average speed, terrain, mode etc. This is for an eco ride in hilly terrain for my weight/height at an average speed of 15Km/h, 1900m of climbing (not untypical in the hills). Probably a bit optimistic, but the latest Levos have pretty good range especially with the 700W/h battery. Even on a trail setting the range is excellent, but the Giant looks excellent also. Obviously rider fitness and willingness to put the effort in can make an enormous difference, so everyone will get different results in the real world.
