It says in the manual you can fit up to 34T.

Thanks guys. I didn't try, just the 30 looked really tight to the chain stay. I'll whip it off then and try this blackspire 32T. Did think it'd be odd to limit it to 30T.

You're brave! I just put on a 34T and the teeth are that close to the frame, I doubt you could fit a rizla between the chain ring and frame. Too risky for me.

Not brave, just following the manual that notes a 34 is ok and a 36 can be installed if the chainguide is removed. I have more clearance than that, did you install a chainring that is specified for boost spacing?

My chain guide is removed. Dunno about the boost thing. The chain ring was straight, no offset. Neither was the 32t burgtec that replaced it. That was also tight.

Depends on the crank but Boost chainrings are generally 3mm offset
fitting one (if possible) should give you the clearance you are after
