Hi,
I just bought a Turbo Levo Pro 2022 (expensive!). I notice that the Tubo Levo's engine is going up to almost 70 ° C (158 ° F). The carbon chassis is hot ... Has anyone observed the same thing? Have read any documentation on this topic? Is this normal? I had a Turbo Levo Hardtail Comp 29, and the engine temperature never rose above 40 ° C (104 ° F).
Thank's for your comments.
J.

If the motor is 80% efficient that is still about 100 watts going towards heat at full power. 158 F does seem hot but 104 F is easily exceeded with power off and just basking in the sun around here. ;)

SPECIALIZED response: "Depending on the ambient temperature and the type of terrain you are riding, it is normal to reach temperatures of 70°C or even higher. When your engine and other overheat, you will see an engine error message (90 °) and the power of the latter will decrease and it will shut off completely if the latter reaches 100 °C. The heating of these elements also causes a heating of the frame but will not be important enough to deteriorate it." John
