That’s right Giant has chosen to keep that hidden just incase we might be able to repair ourselves. How silly of me. I guess it’s into the LBS to find out what a top flashing red light and limp mode is all about. 20 minutes into a climb and my zero let me down. Stay tuned. 🧐

Well boys I have my ride back after leaving it for two days with the authorized Giant service depot. (LBS) After much discussion one of the things I was told was that the new minimalist controls on the 2022 have No diagnostic mode with the lights flashing or otherwise. They have removed that feature. But catch this the tech knows exactly what’s wrong with my ride and even has the part in stock But cannot install it unless they can reproduce the fault or if I can produce pictures or videos of it actually happening ! Apparently Giant Canada wants proof that they aren’t just “parts changers “. The tech took my bike out for an hour ride but nothing happened, now I have to provide the pics , return the bike to the shop to replace the faulty part which is sitting on the shelf ! 😱
What a hell of a system/World we are living in now. I get it with all the fraud and parts issues but seriously!? Anyway that’s my rant so I guess I am going to get out on another gruelling ride to give’m what they want.
I love my ride, just not overly impressed with Giant. 😎

They have just moved lights to the frame. If you had error light blinking how did they remove it?

Don't believe everything LBS is saying.

I am able to reset The flashing error light by turning off the bike and waiting five minutes then turning it back on and it’s good to go for a bit again. No matter what bs my Lbs may or may not sling I am still at their mercy because they and Giant hold all the cards.

5 minutes is enough for motor to cool off. You are not the first one with this motor to have overheating problem. Check couple of posts below.
