DVO Topaz T3 shock: Pristine and undamaged. Size 210x55 (switchable to x50). High performance shock, highly adjustable. Only done 347 miles from new (Apr’21).

The shock comes in a case complete with a DVO shock pump, positive and negative air tuning spacers, and a manual. The manual has full set up instructions plus links to the DVO website on how to carry out advanced tuning. There are already two spacers in the positive side of the air spring.

In addition to the usual rebound damping adjustment, there are three pre-set compression damping adjustments (open, mid and firm). But the game changer that makes this shock different is the bladder in the bottom of the piggyback reservoir. Adjusting the bladder pressure between 170-200psi alter the feel of the shock throughout the whole stroke. It has to be felt to be believed. Bladder adjustment is with the same shock pump (in the box) that you use to change the shock pressure to adjust the %sag. It uses standard Schrader valve fittings.

The shock is currently fitted with a 25mm x 8mm diameter mounting kit. If that fits your bike, it should take less than ten mins to swap. Otherwise, you will need to swap the mounting kit from your existing shock, or buy a new mounting kit for less than £10 per end. (Google “DVO Rear Shock - Shock Mounting Hardware”). It is an easy job.

This shock has an eye-to-eye measurement of 210mm. It is currently set up with a 55mm travel, but there is a travel spacer included that will convert it to a 50mm travel. If this is the travel that you need, I will convert it for you as part of the sale if that is what you want.

Presented in a sturdy polycarbonate DVO case with all items in pre-cut foam. This sought-after shock is very hard to find in this size, as you have no doubt discovered for yourself. They are £450 when websites don’t have them and £500 when they do. My price £350.

Reason for sale? After waiting six months to get one of these shocks, arriving in late Apr’21, I then was lured into buying a new bike in Jul’21. I decided to remove the Topaz shock for separate sale and refitted the original Rockshox shock to sell the old bike at a lower price. If the new bike had required the same size of shock as this one, I would have swapped it for the Topaz without hesitation and be selling that one instead. Ah well, my loss is your gain! ?

Delivery in the UK:

Hi Steve, certainly interested in this to fit my '19 levo. let me do some investigation into fit - particularly the asymmetrical frame/water bottle as the shock length in the right ballpark

In answer to @Andy__C's private post, I realised that you can get get DVO Topaz travel reducers of different sizes. The one that comes with my Topaz reduces travel from 55mm to 50mm. But you can buy a DVO Topaz 2.5mm travel reducer! That will reduce the travel to 52.5mm. Here is one on eBay. £4.92

All Andy has to do now is to determine if the shock will fit into his frame and I sent him some DVO dimensioned drawings to use. :)
