I am afraid the purpose of this thread is about to end next week sometime, unless we can start speculating about the 2022 bike.

Ah .. or do we speculate if it will be the 2022 bike or the 2023 bike for a full re-work, different motor, 260mm disks. I'm thinking 2023, though I do have some spy photo's of the prototype on a 3d printer. ;-)

More importantly, as the new one (2020) will most likely have a more levoesk frame (to get the weight down yet maintain strength) Has anyone started making third party "X wing" carbon frame clip ons so people can tell your Kenevo is a Kenevo ?? I'm thinking just twist your spare tube into an X shape and zip tie it in place :)

Depends where ya live.....

Expert here is black
How boring for you! This is one color way that shows the industry is out of ideas, besides when the Kardashian’s do it you know a trend is played out and corny AF

Full disclosure, my current bikes are matte black.
It’s like the pot calling the kettle matte black
The only reason I bought them in matte black is because it’s way easier to sell them 8 to 9 months down the road.

Well .. ok .. one last disguised spy shot of the 2020 Kenevo ..

This was Al, spotted this morning heading straight to the day job at Lego after pulling an all nighter at the after "sex show" VIP party.

Spotted riding his heavily disguised 2020 Kenevo - looking a shadow of his normal self , suffering from severe dehydration and literally shagged out.

after 45 pages, and we still dont know if they are even releasing an updated version?
After 45 pages, we know they are. We're on lockdown and not allowed to show ACTUAL photos or definite information. So we're talking bollox until October 2nd.

But a quick recap.

PROBABLY;

27.5 front and rear

2 versions.

Expert has double crown forks.

Levo style: but not the same, frame.

Aluminium.

More info if you scroll back up.

That doesn't fit with everything else we've heard .. but at least it should keep @OleBCN happy as he's only interested in serious info .. even though if he took the time to read back and not rely on being spoon fed, he'd find we've been just trying to keep the thread plodding with stupidity .. mainly at Al's expense .. ok .. that's not honest .. only at Al's expense ..

Given the current exchange rates the increases in prices are currently very reasonable. I’d get in there quick though as anything from outside the UK is going to rocket in price soon (tariffs, weak pound etc)

Here in Aus, we get the Black for the expert and it’s $2gs more than the previous model. Fair enough considering new motor, battery and forks.
The black is beautiful!

Oh yeah .. that was quite a relevant point too ..

Comp £4900
Expert £6900

Was £4250 & £5500 respectively.

If you're considering an old one .. the Comp is on offer at £3612.50 - or £4675 for the Expert.

So what do you get for your £2,000 apart from boxxers and a rear super deluxe?

No, I meant for your £2,000 for the expert over the comp.

Ah sorry, I thought you meant compared to the outgoing model ..

Good question .. "Specialized Kenevo Comp or Expert differences rumours"

I'm guessing the comp has the 500w battery and widely rumoured - the Marzocchi Z1

Th Expert the boxxers and most likely 700w to help differentiate the models and justify the price difference.

different wheel set ? brakes ? I guess look at the spec differences between two levo models with £2000 difference between them to get a rough idea.

Ive seen the new 2020 Kenevo ahead of the launch date next week, Ive seen both expert and comp specs, i was asked not to reveal any details, all i will say is my 2018 Kenevo is being sold in the next month or so and im replacing it with.....not a new Kenevo!

2020 Levo Expert, will be upgrading the air shaft to 160mm in the forks

As much as i loved the 2018 Kenevo's 180mm travel it is a bit of a dog on switchback climbs and tight technical trails, if you just want to thunder downhill or on open flowing trails then its ideal but most of my riding isn't like that now

The 2020 Kenevo Expert is going to be even worse on switchbacks and tight technical trails, plus the price for the spec isn't appealing to me, the comp spec dosent appeal to me either so it makes sense for me to go for a 2020 Levo Expert

So the 2k price difference between comp and expert.
If you could get the RockShox BoXXer Ultimate and the ROCKSHOX SUPER DELUXE ULTIMATE COIL RCT SHOCK for £1500 would you buy the comp and upgrade or pay extra for the expert assuming they both come with the 700wh battery.

Nope im saying a Levo suits my riding style and riding terrain better, will still be able to ride everywhere i do now on the Kenevo but for me it will be more enjoyable on a Levo 2020 than a 2020 Kenevo

Coming from a BMX background i miss being able to chuck a bike around on a large jumps and that feeling of being able to change direction quickly, that's something that the Levo does better than a Kenevo
