So the time has come to upgrade my 2019 kenevo

I’m being swayed to the 2020 levo as i have been told it’s more suited to my style of riding, mainly local trails/descents, small jumps and drops etc nothing really that crazy. Plenty of climbing though ! I absolutely love the sturdiness of my kenevo and although it feels a bit cumbersome it gives you loads of confidence and I love that.

I’m all for switching to a levo as should help with the road rides between trails etc but my experience with 29er wheels on a small frame (I’m only 5ft 4”) hasn’t been great always felt slightly unsteady and felt like I was riding on the wheels. If this makes sense. Has anyone had experience with the latest 2020 models in small or S2 fitment ?

I was going to just get the latest kenevo as love the look etc but I have been told it’s very different from the 2019 model and have to really work it on the trails etc

Any info appreciated as don’t want to be buying twice ! Thanks

I love my Kenevo 2020 Comp, 50-60 mile road rides during lockdown are great fun and it's got more than enough capability for anything I will ever do! Only has 500wh battery but I managed 50 miles using 50% of the battery!

I’d go the Levo if you want to build a super lightweight trail bike. You could sell all the parts new and throw a set of lightweight carbon 27.5 wheels to solve you wheel riding issue, lightweight driveline and maybe a longer travel fork/shock. Best of both worlds!
I have both a 19 and 20 Kenevo and both are really great bikes. I ride them both depending on where I go. Riding the 19 being lighter (my 2020 has lots of mods) has made me pine for a second more lightweight trail oriented ebike.

Both really capable great bikes so you can’t go wrong.

I ride a large and have other MTN bikes 275 and 29s. If I were on a smaller frame I'd be looking for 275 too. Even on a large with the new 29s they are big. If you drop the levo to 275 won't you lose a lot of BB clearance?
