Having had my Comp Carbon for now just shy of a year and seeing the 20’s I am still happy
I had to get blue which is not my go to colour but love it .
I’ve had a year of the greatest fun riding it .
Seeing the changes I can get a bigger battery when the original one is at end of life or a second 500 .
I could change the front fork when and if required .
I’m at the annual service about to have all the upgrade bits fitted , new drivetrain to replace the worn one and a slightly bigger 34 front
Need new rear tyre but still trying to decide , thinking tan wall !

So I’m still happy with the choice I made .

Life is short , if you can afford it , stop procrastinating , buy and get out and ride .

Why wouldn’t you be happy? ?

New bikes are constantly rolling off the production line, they don’t really make much of a difference to how much we enjoy riding but it’s nice to have nice stuff!

One of the great fallacies of modern life is that when a product is released it immediately renders all previous products from that manufacturer obsolete and useless. Look at it this way - if you enjoyed your bike yesterday, it will be just as good today and the same again tomorrow provided you maintain it. The new version might indeed be "better" in some ways, but that doesn't mean the old version needs to be retired immediately.

Happy with my 19 Comp Alloy. Just changed the rear tyre over the Eliminator Blck Dmnd so that bit is now 2020 spec at least. 700wh battery could be the next thing as I think I'll be keeping this bike for a while, but the new Kenevo may give some clues about the next generation.

Don’t get sucked in by consumer culture.
People place entirely too much self worth in their possessions.
My daughter just got the new IPhone. She was so disappointed she couldn’t get one on launch day, it ate at her for a week, because her friends already had it. Her “old” phone she used to love worked just fine, but it wasn’t the new one
When she finally got it 8 days later she said this to me:
“I own the new IPhone”
I replied
“It seems to be the other way around”

Very wise words Al.

Just for the record I have no intention of changing my bike , it’s just my thoughts

To all of those who can pick up a 19 cheap because of the 20 , I suggest go for it ?

got my '19 late July because I wanted to ride not wait. & I have, it's just in for first service and already needs a new drivetrain.

don't buy the need for 700Wh battery, I bet most people rarely flatten a 500. and if you do, pedal!

I have never run out of battery on my 500WH. I am not fit enough to flatten the battery.

That aside - I will get the 700WH battery because I think it will be cool and facilitate travel more easily. I will be able to ship the big battery to my destination - then ride a few days at home and then fly to wherever and pick up the battery.

...apart from the fork which has a new name but appears to be exactly the same as its predecessor....oh and the change to an Eliminator rear tyre which the specs say is a 2.3 rather than the 2.6 Butcher on the 2019...is that to increase clearance at the chainstays??

I bought my 2019 Carbon Comp from Leisure Lakes Bury 2 weeks ago reduced to £5299.00 from £5999.00 plus a free 500w boxed new spare battery! Which is for sale along with Fox 34 forks and 29" wheel set with tyres just in case there's anybody interested, absolutely love the bike so selling my 2017 Levo Comp FSR with Lyrik RC2 150mm upgrade to Yari forks if anyone is interested in that too.
