140 vs 160

Looking at either the 140 or 160 and I'm in a twix as to which is better for me. I'm not a hucker or going to hit big jumps but I'm a fat guy and weigh in at 270lbs. Some of my challenges, in addition to being a newb and out of shape, is that I struggle with the tight switchback turns. So I was actually thinking that maybe the 160 with the 27.5 wheels may be better and the extra susp may help until I lose weight and ultimately a few years down the road end up with a 140 travel bike. Or am I thinking this wrong? BTW, I'm east coast USA so it will be shipped and means I need to setup and finetune the susp myself. Thx

I'm similar weight, and this has zero to do with your choice here in my opinion..i think I've said it a million times,i 100% prefer the 27.5,feels so much less like a boat, the extra travel is 20mm,maybe slight geometry but that means diddle squat to most of us..160 all day

I would always choose 29 wheels, I am big guy and those 27.5 looks so small and fat under me :) .. But also I would always choose longer travel ..
