I can't remember if I've mentioned this before, on this thread, so apologies if I have. I always have a slight inward chuckle at people wanting to max out their travel on this bike, as I have actually reduced it and am having an absolute blast! I run the 2024 Fox Float shock at 57.5mm, giving me...
Just over 3,000kms and no problems. Well, in some seriously extreme weather, water entered the remote and the bike shut down. Trek sent a new remote, but I simply dried the old one, blocked the port where the water got in, and it's been good as gold ever since (plus, I now have a brand new spare...
Hey all,
I'm looking to buy a fatbike, with a 100mm BSA BB, and am really lost as to what my choices are from Bafang. If possible, I'd like something in the region of a 60nm motor and a battery in the region of 600-700wh (though ideally say 450-500 with a range extender, if that's even a...
Hey all, I've been 'fat curious' for a long time but sadly options to sate my lust in the UK have dwindled, to pretty much zero! So, I'm now thinking about a DIY carbon option but have no idea where to even start looking? If anyone has any experience to share, be that fat-specific or...
Hey all,
Love my Fuel EXe so far, but wanting to see if I can get away with a coil on the rear. Most of my riding is on natural trails, with over head high drops, steep and tech, some jumps, and some v.fast and loose rock chutes. As a particularly short rider, I'm running my rear shock at...
Can't say about the Siryon, but I rode a Medium Cyon with a 150mm AXS dropper. I had to remove the rubber collar and slammed it, but it went in right up to the post collar. At 5'6" and with a 29" inside leg, it was perfect. If I hadn't been able to remove that collar, it would have been 5mm shy...
Was that for the Levo (ISIS interface) or the Levo SL (M30 interface)? Last time I looked, Miranda didn't make a crank with an M30 interface, I even emailed them several times to ask!
I did it to my shock - relatively straightforward, but fitting the springs and getting them to play ball, whilst fitting the assembly to the shock, now that's a different matter. Have fun!
As a UK based EXe rider, I agree with this 100%. The only disappointment for me is the lack of the Range Extender, which I have paid for and can't use, because it apparently doesn't exist. Maybe Trek need to think about how to compensate those of us in this situation, whilst they're sat there...
I'm also 5'6" and have historically had the same problems with wheel-arse contact, on previous 29ers. On this EXe, I've reduced the stroke of my shock to 57.5mm (controversial, I know!), giving 135mm of rear travel. It's bloody brilliant! I get the speed benefits of running a full 29er, with...
Shimano XT rear mech, 1x12, almost new, ridden 3 times and then removed from a new bike. A couple of very light scuffs from transport/storage, otherwise in A1 condition and nothing mechanically wrong. £60 posted anywhere in mainland UK (Please ask if buying from Highlands or Islands).
