I use the same setting, but for more comfortable climbing. Used to ride before a Bionicon Reed. Maybe I should habe bought the Instinct, that front wheel sometimes takes off in the +25% climbs.
This tapered hole is not the best design solution. The same problem is present also on the motor covers of the Dyname 2.0. Resulting from this design solution is a very low torque limit of the tapered head screws. Use a low strength thread lock (like Loctite 222) and thigten the screws very...
The app is not great, but fine to adjust the support settings of each of the 3 support levels.
I think the motor was replaced on this bike, probably taken from another bike. I also think a licensed dealer should have re-registered this.
As far as I know, in case of a malfunction RM accepts...
Hi everyone,
I wonder if somebody tried to measure this.
Being the owner of a Cycle Satiator universal battery charger I cannot measure the discharge capacity, but I can measure the Wh entering the battery when charging.
Maybe someone uses a similar charger.
On my Dyname 3.0, Altitude C50...
Switched off there is very little more drag than on my non electric mtb. The motor is freewheeling. And unlike most other brands there aren't lots of gearings and bearings there to be turned when switched off or exceeding legal speed. Anyone who DIY changed the primary chain could have noticed.
After 7000+ km I did not experience loose motor bolts.
But I did have a lot of creaking.
Checking torques did not help.
I found that it comes from the motor covers.
A thin layer of silicone grease on the cover contact surfaces cleared the issue.
Cheers ! I just came home from a ride and checked out the Sanborn County Park trails at alltrails.com - what a nice place!
Waiting for that 36t chainring...

When you go from 34 to 36 chainring motor speed increases at the same cadence because motor sprocket remains
unchanged: 12t
Different things happen:
motor speed changes vs. cadence; your motor spins now 5,8% faster. If I remember well the torque vs. cadence chart you will experience more support at low cadence but you will encounter the peak torque @85 cadence with the 34t. This will now happen @80 cadence already...
That looks great!
I was concerned about the reduction of the number of engaged teeth on the chainring when skipping that lower chain guide.
More wear is certain, but after around 7000 km mine is still in a very good condition. So a bit more should not be the issue.
Also good to hear that the...
They do not really need it.
But it was disturbing me when riding in mixed groups.
Even the young and fit riders shift into the shortest gear when climbing long and steep uphills, forcing me into very low cadence and thus high battery consumption.
So I went for the Kindernay IGH (adapting the...
Hi there Dyname 3.0 owners,
speed sensor failures are among the common issues, as far as I understand from this forum and also other.
Generally I red about no support/random cutouts or jerky motor torque.
After converting to a Kindernay IGH I had the same issues as described above.
Since the...
It is a trick of the camera. I was a bit scared when this posting was issued and looked from different perspectives. The "bent teeth" changed position when I was moving my perspective. That weird tooth profile is causing this effect. Looks like a Shimano 11t that was mounted the wrong way...
Right. Even if the cog is very endurant, it will be worn some day. It must be serviceable without changing the motor or any other action that cannot be done in a reasonable equipped workshop. With all my consideration for the very nice performance, this is very bad. Would not have bought this...
