Yeah the photo was of the drive side, was just pointing out what the cable guide is and aye they are coming out the factory with out a cable guide on the non drive, in my option can’t see why they have done this as it looks unfinished, I was just pointing out that the cable guide is not there...

sorry p3eps is talking about the cable guide not the screw, two different parts. See attached the photo of the cable guide. The screw is in the same area and is there for the inner cable routing ?

No problem mate, I contacted specialized loads of time regarding there not being a black plastic cable guide on the non drive side, i still don’t think the answer they gave is correct as they kept quoting the carbon bike, they said pretty much that’s how they designed the bike lol yet the all...
I went for aluminium and love the bike, if you’ve got the money for the carbon, I’d say spend that extra grand and up grade the brakes, mech and shifter as a minimum. that’s what I did, saint brakes, eagle xx1 mech and grip shift (I know not everyone’s cup of tea ?)
@Specialized Rider Care are you aware of the issue with missing cable guard on the none drive side and is the part available or when will it be available.
yeah its missing, mine also, LBS have been trying to get hold of the part since March ?, all other sl alu I’ve seen have been missing the part also, I called the concept store to see if they knew anything and they were aware of the parts being missing but never had anyone try and get a part...
I found the same when I first started using it, couldn’t get the thing to sit right, don’t know if it was just me but after a few rides it fits tight every time now.

specialized confirmed it’s a cable guide that’s missing, If you haven’t contacted your LBS already, they can contact specialized and log it under the warranty and specialized will send the LBS the part. Maybe it has been a problem at the factory?
