Have any of you weight their bike?
After just now receiving my 4060 Z ST SLX (claimed weight 22,8kg) i measured it at 23.47kg out of the box. (without pedals)
I was very surprised since mine is a size small and the claimed weight should be for size medium!
All three motors were "Motor F4, Hardware Version 2, Firmware 2.0" and produced in 2023.
#1 produced Q1 2023 had a faulty freehub. (Motor did spin but not engage. Apparently a known production issue caused by bad quality glue)
#2 produced Q4 2023 developed play in the bottom bracket axle. (I...
Just FYI my experience with the Fazua ride 60 reliability in 2024:
I've bought the Focus Jam² SL 10 months ago and rode 2400km in total.
I am on the third motor which is just now failing after 990km.
To be fair the bike hasn't seen much tarmac and instead lots of sometimes rough enduro tracks...
Was anyone able to get the single bolt replaced? The only option at my local dealer (in Germany) is a "pivot set" (K0330019039 for the sam2) for 90€, and shipping being being delayed to at least mid-october.
The source of the creaking seems to come from the shock mounting moving directly on the...
But if assist is tied to pedal input, the battery drains faster the harder I pedal.
That's why I set my limits low. Pedaling harder with a lower limit, means I reach the limit sooner and put in more of my own power instead of using more battery.
On default settings I get 28km, 800-900m pretty consistently out of my 378Wh Focus.
Tuning assist and torque levels hasn't made much difference for me. No matter how I change the assist % , if I put in more power, the motor will put in more power aswell.
That's why i recently started tweaking...
Thanks for linking those.
That's definitely the same noise as on my bike.
After reading the linked german pedelecforums thread, i conclude that (almost) all E8000 Motors seem to have the issue (even new ones in the bikeshop) or develop this after a few hundred KM. One or two said the issue is...
I noticed the same, more as feeling on the pedals than noise though.
Recently I started turning the motor off for the downhills. Not sure if it got rid of the issue, but it definitely reduced the problem.
Also noticed my cassette was slightly loose, might be something to check to reduce noise.
The question is if you really need the 10mm more travel. Do you feel like you bottom out too often or your fork is too stiff while using full travel?
Even small changes in travel also changes the bikes geometry.
Sure the display shows the battery level, but is there a way to view the exact battery percentage during a ride?
So far I have only found the "ST Unlocker" app, but it requires shutting down the bike and the motor isn't working while the app is connected. :(
