i like the xr3 , the front lasts a while, the back burns off on the faster side
i just got a spec purgatory t7 for $32 so quite inexpensive, a cross country tire with enough strength for a 50 lbs bike
it's tough finding a 2.5 or 2.6 tubeless slick, i used to use schwalbe super motos/big apple...
Bulls used to sell a 28 mph emtb , but it was a tank. A conundrum for sure, hack a bosch bike and it will roll along for years except the anti tampering software might brick it. Otoh the specialized has a completely unreliable drivetrain that gives you 2500 miles per motor if lucky.
i bought a spare rear wheel for my pivot, it has the hydra hub with a gazillion points of engagement, the gear changes etc are almost instantaneous so it took me a bit of time to smooth out but it makes the bike noticeably quicker
i just had to replace a rear wheel and it was sold out on the US trek website but REI had the rear then i was able to buy the shimano hg microspline freehub body from the trek site

the galfer is not that good, It was smooth for the first hundred km then it started to feel like wet brake pads, i installed new pads but that didn't help
new sram hs2 220 and adaptor, problem solved
my biggest complaint about my new bike was the ridiculous lag of the dt hybrid hub. At first i planned on upgrading it to the higher poe of the 36t but found that was not as easy as the original dt hub where all you had to do was switch the ratchets. No , this involved all kinds of proprietary...
i think so. On my bosch powered trek rail it is more of a torque monster so it is easier to pull through from low cadence but on the ep8 bike power comes on at a higher rpm so it benefits more from 12 speeds
i have tried several ergon saddles and they both started creaking where the rails went into the seat. I do want to try out the enduro model but probably won't as i have had much better luck with WTB
u mean 27.5 x2.4 ?
they list a 2.4 in the enduro S and R
but in the Race Enduro they have it in the medium and traction variants in a 27.5 x 2.5
i'm using enduro mediums on my rail and they stick pretty good and roll well
my smart system rail , a 22 9.8 xt, benefitted from the recant update by enabling customization of of all ride modes, not just 2 of them---the rest of it makes no difference to me
not sure about non smart sytem gen 4
