I've been dam lucky really, unfortunately my wife caught a pedal coming down off the Moors at Sutton Bank red route, pedal hit top of foot and ended up fractured toe.
Sod before our hol in Lake District recently but she is nearly back to normal.
Have a Peugeot Expert Mk2 on a 65 plate. Use as my day vehicle and for towing a caravan, been a huge upgrade for biking and towing. Getting 40mpg out of it and with a 6 spd box it's great for motorways, was cheapest for insurance for me as wanted as a private and commuting vehicle.
Using a...
DMR Deathgrips which I just really like feel of.
CXWXC Pedals, cnc machined alloy. These are cheapies off Amazon but been dam good pedals (have on wife's Levo and my Camber too)
Kept my Camber as a spare due to injuries but will still use on off. If riding solo prob use the Camber but if with wife (when her fractured toe heals) will use haibike to stay with her Levo.
We went Friday, was surprised how much smaller it was this year. The stunt show was missing too and that was always fun to watch.
Don't get me wrong was interesting to get hands on and close up with new bikes/ kit and will be after the new saddle from dmr, but was a disappointment over last year
Hi,
The Allmtn 3.0 I have has TRP G-Spec brakes on, now the front are fine, but the back seem very poor. Have swapped to Shimano pads but not made any difference.
Pressure is there so doesn't seem to be air lock just no stopping power. Would a larger rotor (180mm) make much difference ? Weigh...
Spent today getting wife checked after she had nasty off on the Sutton Bank red route yesterday. Pedal caught a rut coming off the Moors, fractured toe and cut on leg, not too bad thankfully but not ideal 3 weeks before we go to Lake District for biking hol ?
We have no problems taking our van on sites, but is plain with no sign writing. Most sites wont let a sign written on.
Handy to have a van so on site the bikes are out of sight at night and if you are just out and about not easy to get at the bikes in car parks etc
Does it matter if you slow down if your having fun ? Me and the wife aren't fast, don't tackle the rougher stuff yet but we just spent Tues at Sherwood Pines blue in morning then at Clumber Park in afternoon getting off track in outer areas. Not fast, not overly challenging but we both came back...
Few changes so far:
Mucky Nutz fenders - front great, back pointless really :sneaky:
DMR Deathgrips - love these grips
Haibike MRS for bottle cage - sod to get, why they dont include with bike astounds me
CXWXC Alloy pedals - great pedals, only cheapies from Amazon but CNC cut, 3 bearing and...

Same here with disc damage, although can ride acoustic still I felt pain on climbs, particularily longer drags more than short bursts.
The emtb does make a world of different, doesn't solve back pain of course but can ride a lot more without taking a day out afterwards aching.
Just back from short break in Dartmoor,
Burrator reservoir...just before sinking ankle deep in boggy bit :sneaky:
Haldon Forest Blue run, sadly wife had been rough night before so more of an amble around but will have to go back as really nice there.
