lol this is why I lost interest in buying an Orbea Rise over a year ago .. all the reviews I was reading were about it riding like a noodle, plus seeing the rear shock rub marks on the frame too. My guess is Orbea have realised the faults and now reinforce the frame with more material, which has...
I've dropped the bike off at my Specialized dealer, they swap out the engine with the same one.. that ends up failing the same way. No notable upgrades as far as I'm aware.
Thanks, that's a relief to see there are companies out there with some solutions. Great that they have a distributor in Australia too.
Here's another GH day gif.. for the fun of it
Yes true! But I have barely ridden it this year due to rain and closed trails. Just wanted to sell the Levo. The 'faulty' batt is already 700w! I've already had 2 faulty motors replaced under warranty.. don't know why anyone would want to buy an out of warranty 2nd hand Levo. What fixes are...
I lost my remaining 1 year of warranty today. I'd removed the Levociraptor (purchased Jan-21), took my Gen2 2019 Levo in for service due to a weird fault going on (wouldn't turn on after 4 - 6 turnings on and off, but resets after disconnecting and reconnecting battery).
Dealer said it was a...
It's likely your technique. When descending, always drop the saddle right out of the way, shift your body off the seat and over the back of the bike and extend your arms, bend your legs, while keeping both arms and legs active. Let the bike flow beneath you. Smaller bikes are fun for more...
I've had MT7s on my 2019 Levo for the past 2 years. They're great, super powerful and good modulation. But I wouldn't buy them again for the same reasons as above, they rub .. not a big issue on an an eMTB, but it is still frustrating and it's intermittent. While the intermittent rub can be an...
Thanks for the extensive answer, you've certainly bought and ridden plenty of emtbs 😂 .. has certainly got me thinking. I reckon I'll cancel my Levo'22 Comp Carbon order due next week. I really don't want a detuned motor that's still going to fail.. I've already got a '19 Levo.
Looking at the...
Oh, so the '22 Gen 3 Levos still have the motor fails ? This is the first I've heard.
What is it about the Orbea that makes it ride better than the Levo'22?
Well, I hope you're happy with it. But something that I now first look at - for any new bike since I've owned a '19 Levo for the past 2 years - is the chainstay length. The Scott Ransom 920 (?) has 465mm chainstays .. pretty much the longest in the business. If you're a beginner and like...
I'd guess that this guide (which was on my Gen 2, but I removed it when installing new brakes) is sometimes removed at the bike shop's discretion based upon brake calliper type and rotor size, excess cable length and frame size. The guide/clip can interfere with the cable movement and make the...
My aluminium frame 2019 Turbo Levo has the problem of the TCU not holding firmly in place. No matter how careful I try to locate the TCU unit in the correct position into the frame and firmly screw it into place. At first it seemed to hold itself in place and well supported, but now when I press...
Thanks for your reply.
I decided to purchase the LSS mechanical delimiter as suggested, my only concern was the limited speed of still ~38kph, but I'm sure it will be plenty and still safer for the bike than any electronic 'chip' solution.
In fact my only real concern with the truck is - where are the crumple zones if this bullet proof stainless steel panel work is so tough? Won't this reduce safety and prevent it from being sold in many markets?
At first I thought it was a joke.. and was waiting for the actual reveal...
But now it's growing on me, and looking at any 'traditional' pickup design (including those new Hyundai designs) looks like a dull kids toy in comparison.
Hi Paul - I've just bought a new 2019 Levo and saw one of your posts inferring that delimiting via. software adjustment is still possible.. can you point me in the right direction with this, cheers.
Hi Thomas, I'm asking the same question you were asked by Gatano almost a year ago now. Do you know the newer software delimiter procedure for the newer 2019/20 model Levos? Or can you point me in the right direction, thanks.
