I agree with others here. I have owned 3 shimano motor bikes, 1 e7000 and 2 e8000, and have a Kenevo SL with zero motor issues. I ride my bikes a lot and don’t baby them. No motor problems on any of the motors. My brother still owns the e7000 motor bike and no problems for him either. One of the...
I was seriously considering a 2023 Wild. I think I will pass after reading this thread. In addition, where I live, the local Orbea dealer said they are less than thrilled with the service and communication from Orbea.

You are correct that a blanket statement isn’t true. It may seem to stand to reason that taking out should be the same as installin, but that isn’t necessarily true either. Ask any mechanic. I have been working on my own bikes since the early 80’s. I have never had anything close to the...
Here’s my 2 cents:
I too come from a moto background. I bought a Yt Decoy pro build first. A very fun bike but 50 lbs is heavy. I sold and bought a Kenevo SL. The lighter weight is very noticeable for me when jumping and anything pointed downhill. I also own a Trek Fuel Exe with a 160 fork and...
On my Kenevo SL I was able to get the hose installed with a lot of trouble. It took me over 2 hrs. Getting the hose back out is nearly impossible. You have to pull so hard the internal routing tube gets pulled through the frame and I ended up having to wrap the hose around a small steel bar to...
I do a majority of climbing in Eco. I will use Trail later in the ride when I’m tired. I only use boost for boring double track climbs to get to the fun stuff. I rode yesterday and did 11.5 miles with 1300’ of climbing and had 50% battery left on the Trek. If you want to ride in boost...
I have owned and ridden full powered and lower assit extensively. I owned 2 YT decoy bikes. I currently own a Kenevo Sl and a Trek Fuel Exe. I much prefer the ride quality of the lower powered ebikes. The lower weight is very noticeable in the trails I prefer which are downhill. They have plenty...
Maybe pedal cadence has something to do with crank length. I’m 5-11 with long legs (almost 34” inseam). I’m a spinner not a pedal masher. There are no downsides for me running 155-160 cranks.
I have a Kenevo SL and a Fuel Exe. I am finding the range on both bikes to be very close if ridden on equal terrain in equal modes. I have a range extender for the Kenevo and have only used it once or twice in over a year.
I find this to be true of all Fox forks. Their recommended presures are for very aggresive riders. I set air pressure based on sag and ignore their recommendations. I’m usually at least 10 lbs less. On my Fox 38 it’s more like 15lbs less. I do find their recommended rebound/compression settings...
I’m a big fan of shorter cranks. In the 150/160 mode I’m not getting pedal strikes with the stock 165 cranks. I would think 160 with Mullet setup would be the same. What 160 cranks were you able to find that fits the TQ motor?
Are you running a mullet setup? I would be interested in trying. I definitely get the dreaded butt buzz with this bike. For some reason more than I do on my Kenevo SL.
Also, I’m running a 160 fork with a 205x65 shock. Zero clearance issues. I know Trek says it may void the warranty, but I’m confident Cam Mcaul puts far more stress on the bike with 140 in the rear than I will ever do with 150 travel.
I’m 5-11 and always between medium and large. I have a 33 1/2 inseam and 6-1 1/2 wingspan. I’ve found my ideal reach to be 460-465. I decided on the L because I’d rather run a shorter stem and more backsweep on the bar than put a longer stem on a shorter reach and be out over the front of the...
I’d be willing to bet that none of them were the type of bikes people on this forum ride. I doubt you are buying a higher end ebike to ride around New York City. This is one of the big problems with ebikes. High quality Class 1 bikes are considered the same as Class 2 and 3 bikes (which actually...
If that was done from the factory when they built the bike, I would demand a new frame. That is a complete hack job. I just installed a new shock on my 9.5 and it fit with no problems.
It changes it by roughly 1/2 degree. I can find no downsides to the added 10mm of travel. Full disclosure, my other bike is a Kenevo SL so like longer, slacker bikes already.
Thanks for the info on torque values and manuals. For some reason my Ipad won’t open the links. I will give the old desktop a try.
For what it’s worth:
I bought the 9.5 and put my good parts off another bike on.
