Mine will get to 140 degrees F maximum when the battery is healthy and I don’t run a fan. On 2 occasions when they were getting hotter both bikes had bad batteries and were replaced under warranty. I also run a small fan when charging our bikes and they don’t get over 100. Have never had a...
Yes
its more than likely the battery. One of our Gen3 Levo’s did that similar thing and set that code. My son was riding it and said it had very low power and actually drained down much quicker than normal. Bike shop put a motor to battery power cable and a speed sensor that made no difference...
I have had the same experience with 2 of my current 2022 Levo’s. One had battery failure at 500 ish miles and took months for Specialized to agree to replace it and now our other one with 900 ish miles is faulty and under a warranty claim. I’m in the south eastern US where I never ride when...
Get a Levo Ohlins edition. I’ve had 5 different brands, they all have problems but Specialized had the least and even though they are about 2 weeks to a month out on warranty they will fix a problem. The Levo handles really good, doesn’t make any noise from the motor or creaks and cracks from...
Yep I have had several different brands. When we had a issue with a motor on a Trance and a Reign Giant just said take a picture of the motor from a couple angles and then they sent motors to my LBS within a couple weeks. Every time I have a problem with one of our Levos Specialized fights me...
Not sure what kind of used market you have there but in the US new take off 500w batteries are plentiful used and cheap. You could buy one of those to get you by and to prove that your original battery is faulty.
They seem to go this route in most cases from what I’ve experienced. They say it’s the cable or TCU. I think they do this to try and keep from replacing batteries that are faulty right away. Seems very counter productive and more expensive for them in the long run. Specialized either has no clue...
Okay. I will ask our service department to explore whether a new battery is an option. If you have a payment record like a receipt of the $120 warranty charge please provide that to us. Warranty claims filed through Specialized are done so at no charge to the rider. Specialized will never charge...
I just had experience with this. Had a Levo at a local Specialized store and they charged me labor and a warranty filling charge to diagnose and repair my faulty battery. I contacted Specialized and they said that no dealer can charge labor or parts for a warranty repair. Specialized sent and...
Finally got them to send a battery and guess what? It fixed it. Been dealing with this for over a year and has been utterly ridiculous. Bike had 200 ish miles when this started and now has 806. Sent a series of videos to my dealer and Specialized of me switching batteries between bikes and they...
I would say it has to have lower air pressure if you’re doing XC style trails to make it have front end turn In feel like it did with a stock 160mm. I raced this bike at a XC and had too much air and it pushed slightly but then lowered the pressure to 60 psi from 80 psi and it corners awesome...
I agree. Every time you read one of these forums where a guy is simply asking if others have had problems and how they were able to remedy it all you see is what we have above. Self proclaimed Know it all’s that blame the owner and not the manufacturer. When I was a service manager at a...
Yes to answer your question they are absolute garbage. Look at my post about the problem I been having with one of my Levo’s. I would not be that pissed if it was just one bike but I’ve had 4 Levo’s since 2018 and they all had multiple failures. Totally sick of them to be truthful.
